Mother's Day

Ben has always made Mother's day so special for me since I was pregnant with Jayden. On Mother's day when I was pregnant, Ben decided not to go to church with me. I was in complete shock and was in pure disappointment that he didn't want to go on a special day- Mother's day. Even though I was not a mommy yet at this point, I was big and emotional and couldn't help but get teary eyed about it on the way to church, wondering why Ben didn't want to go with me, we were a few months away from being mommy and daddy! As I was approaching Church, Pastor Bob asked if I was ok and I instantly broke into tear (haha- to pregnancy hormones). He hugged me and prayed immediately for me. THANKS Pastor Bob- still a funny joke to this day! When I got home from church, I was completely 100% suprised with 1st annual Mother's day scavenger hunt. Ben had a super sweet mommy-to-be  Mother's day card with clues from one much needed gift to another all related to pregnancy and the months to come. AH-HA! Now I kow why he didn't want to come to church with me.  Amazingly, this tradition has carried on every year...not necessarily him missing church, but the scavenger hunt! This year, Jayden and daddy hid the gifts while Maddy was sleeping and while I was spending some mommy time with my mom. Here are the clues and the wonderful things I received-

1st Clue:Arrr hoy maties, time to find some buried treasure,

go to the place where treasures are hidden, a place covered with pillows and clothes.

Great hunting. We know how much you love pictures,

you can fill this frame with your favorite pictures of our family.

Clue 2: Go to the place where Jayden's ni-nites go to rest, except for big blue....

Awesome, you are so beautiful, we hope you like the "jew-rey" :)

Clue 3: go to the place where we keep are arts and craft tools....

Wonderful! Now Mommy has a sippy too that will always have clean water :)

Clue 4: Go to the place where we cook dinner for you....ah hot mommy, daddy.

Yaah, one good lookin' mama! It's gonna be a hot and bright summer, gotta protect your eyes!

Clue 5: Go to the place where you let and show the world how big we are getting, think Hard...

How blessed am I to have a fun hunt EVERY Mother's day with my sweetest blessings Jayden and Maddy?! I am so lucky to have a loving and caring husband that does everything he can to make this day EXTRA special for me! I love you Ben!
